H1N1 Flu and Your Baby

There is little information on effects of H1N1 or "Swine" flu in pregnant or breastfeeding women. However, similar flu viruses have not been shown to cause birth defects in babies whose mothers had the flu. There is some concern that the symptoms of the flu may be more severe in pregnant women.
